Creating the Right Learning Environment for Every Child
At RAIN-SPEN, we understand how challenging it can be to find the right school for a child with unique learning needs. That’s why we’ve created a safe, structured, and flexible environment where students can thrive — academically, emotionally, and socially.
This page outlines how to determine if RAIN-SPEN is the right fit, what the enrollment process looks like, and the types of disabilities we support.
Is RAIN-SPEN Right for Your Child?
Ask yourself:
- Does your child have the potential to learn but struggle in traditional classrooms?
- Is your child curious and capable but held back by teaching styles that don’t match their learning needs?
- Has your child’s current school struggled to create the right structure or challenge level?
If you answered “yes” to any of these, RAIN-SPEN may be the right fit — offering a customized learning experience designed to meet each child’s individual goals.
How to Enroll: 6-Stage Admissions Process
1. Initial Phone Call: Speak with our admissions team, ask questions, and schedule a campus tour.
2. Campus Tour & Parent Meeting: Visit our campus, observe our classrooms, and meet with key staff. You’ll be asked to submit a screening packet (e.g., IEP or assessments).
3. Student Screening: Your child will complete an hour-long screening — half academic, half social interaction. This helps us understand placement fit.
4. File Review: Our admissions team carefully reviews your child’s information and screening feedback.
5. Acceptance or Rejection Letter: You’ll receive a letter confirming the admissions decision, along with a welcome packet if accepted.
6. Enrollment: Submit all forms. We’ll assign your child a start date and classroom.
